Youth Work is all about informally educating young people, it supports their social and emotional development. Youth workers build positive relationships with young people that are based on trust and mutual respect. They empower and support young people to understand their values and help them establish what they want to achieve in life. Youth workers utilise activities such as sports, dance, the arts as well as the art of conversation to raise young people’s self esteem and empower them so they can create positive change for themselves and their communities. It is vital that young people have access to safe spaces where they can make friends, learn who they are, and where they fit within society.
Professionals who work with young people also need support and guidance from time to time and that’s where I can help.

Hello, nice to meet you! I’m Lee, a fully Qualified Youth and Community Worker (JNC). As both a manager and former senior practitioner, I have over twenty five years’ experience working within the youth sector and with young people from all walks of life. I have dedicated my entire career to youth work and have acquired significant skills and experience along the way that could be of value to you or your wider organisation.
